Unlucky
Amos stares into the sea.
“You cannot even do small things properly…”
“I do not love you anymore…”
Memories fade back. He does not want to end his life just like that. Just as he stands up, he trips himself over and into the sea. He IS really being unlucky.
Why, why and why
“Mommy, why is the sky blue?”
“Mommy, why birds can fly?”
“Mommy, why do we need air?”
The ten-year-old boy asks his mother, continuing with questions.
The mother looks into the eyes of the boy.
“Then, why do you want to know? Why do you like to irritate me?”
Growing up
He looks around his room. He wants to grow up! He dumps all of his toys into a big plastic bag at a corner. Then, his aunt comes and gives him a new robot. He hugs it straight away and plays with it. That is so much for growing up.
Pimples Breakout
John looks at himself in the mirror.
“Oh no, one red spot, two red spot, Three BIG RED SPOTS…”
He is horrifies by the number of the spots. He cannot wait to get rid of all of them but there are more as he tries. This is puberty for him.
Saved
The little girl looks ahead of her. Two bright lights are approaching her fast. She looks at her mother lying on the floor, motionless. This is probably the only way to follow her mother. She stands there, eyes shut tightly. Suddenly, a hand grabs her from behind. She is saved.
You have a particular skill with twists at the end of stories. I bet it will come in useful for you in later works. Nice work on this one.
